Lights, Camera, Extremism!

Wheel of Morality – Episode 14

It’s that time again!

Did President Trump just announce OANN After Dark will replace PBS Kids?

Did someone mistake “Meet the Press” for a Proud Boys recruitment ad?

No… it’s time to learn today’s lesson.

Let’s talk about Sheriff Wayne Ivey’s side hustle as a guest star on far-right infotainment. Because blue lives matter… as long as they vote red.

From 2021 through 2024, Sheriff Ivey has made multiple appearances on conservative and right-leaning podcasts where he amplified tough-on-crime rhetoric often embraced by far-right audiences.

He’s not reading Miranda rights — he’s reading from the Patriot Front group chat.

All while wearing the badge.
All while serving as the official face of law enforcement in Brevard County.

Sheriff Ivey’s been on so many far-right shows, Fox News just gave him a loyalty punch card. One more appearance and he gets a free donut.

Critics — including national civil rights groups — sounded the alarm: when you give a badge to someone preaching fringe ideologies on air, you’re not protecting the public… you’re radicalizing it.

So, to find out what today’s lesson is, we turn to…

The Wheel of Morality!

Wheel of Morality – turn, turn, turn…
Tell us the lesson that we should learn.

And the moral of today’s story is…

Always check your sheriff for batteries before broadcasting him live. If he blinks Morse code, call the ACLU.

But seriously…

When a sheriff swaps the sworn duty of impartial protection for a media gig pushing extremism, he’s not defending democracy — he’s performing a slow-motion coup in khaki.

This isn’t about political leanings. It’s about public trust. About the line between free speech and weaponized speech — especially when wielded by someone with a gun, a badge, and a taxpayer-funded stage.

Because when law enforcement cosplays as ideological infantry, when the siren lights flicker behind slogans like “take back our streets,” the community isn’t safer — it’s splintered.

And here’s the real danger: not just what he says, but who hears it as permission.

That kid watching YouTube clips in his dad’s garage? The one who thinks “urban thug” is a policy term and “patriot” means locked and loaded?

Yeah. He’s listening. And Sheriff Ivey just gave him a wink and a nod.
